The Amalie Mittens are knitted in a structural pattern that moves with the child, allowing play and movement while fitting the hand snuggly. You first knit rib over the wrist that can either be folded down or pulled up over the forearm. The mitten itself is knitted according to the structural pattern. In the end you pick up sts for the thumb, which is knitted in st st.
